Homework Support

While our goal is to fill in skill gaps and strengthen foundational skills, we cannot entirely ignore daily homework challenges. Since every program is tailored to each students needs, assistance understanding homework can be incorporated into the program to create balance. Besides skill gaps, study skills are usually the reason for learning and homework difficulty.

If however your child is bringing home hours of secondary math homework and there simply isn't enough time in the short semester to address the skill gap areas, our tutors would be happy to provide direct homework support. If this is the route you would like to take, it is strongly suggested that your child receive tutoring to fill in the skill gaps that are causing the homework challenges during the other semester or during the summer.

Science

From basic science to more advanced chemistry, biology, physics and mechanics, Learning Bound has qualified tutors who can teach any level of science needed Our experience has been that when science is taught in an interesting way, students can see the relevance, thus Science is more fun and stimulating.

Special Education

At Learning Bound we are committed to providing support to children with Special Education needs. If your child has been Identified through an Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) as exceptional, and has been provided an Individual Education Plan (IEP) then Learning Bound can help. We will work hard to incorporate the educational expectations provided for your child by providing one-on-one tutoring to meet your child's educational needs.

Students with special education needs typically have difficulty keeping up academically with peers. However with highly personalized one-on-one instruction students can learn to overcome and cope with their difficulties.

As well since Identified students often do not perform well in groups or classrooms the benefit of tutoring in your own home environment helps improve confidence and skills to shorten the learning gaps and expedite learning.

Home Schooling

If you are a parent that has made a decision to educate your child at home or you have a child home due to illness or disability, Learning Bound can provide supplemental learning and assessment testing. We work with you and your philosophies to reach your child's goals.

Summer Programs

Summer is an excellent opportunity to address academic challenges without the demands of daily homework and assignments. Whether it is to strengthen skills or get prepared for the next school year, Learning Bound provides programs to help your child reach his or her goals.
