The Learning Bound math program help students build the foundational skills to get up to grade level, and have a solid foundation for future advanced math concepts.
Be it 1+1 or complex equations, the Learning Bound program is individualized to teach your child the skills and learning strategies to make learning math fun, and easy. We feel that children should understand the concepts behind the math, and when a child can see the relevance of what they are learning, the process is much easier and fun.
We do not believe in simply memorizing facts. Our instructional methods are catered around your child and we do not rely solely on pen and paper. When we tutor a student in math, retention is the goal, and we accomplish this through hands on learning with manipulatives. This not only enhances your child's math skills, but will improve other subject areas as well.
Whenever possible we try to work with the math concepts being taught in the classroom, and often alter the delivery of the Program Plan to fill in the gaps related directly to the current classroom work. This method builds confidence, and of course better test grades. As well, if your child is having difficulty with his homework, we are happy to dedicate a portion of the lesson to helping your child.
